Bank of America's Frequently Asked Questions: Credit Card Payment and Statement Inquiries

In order to establish automatic payments, it is necessary for you to be enrolled in eBills, which serve as digital versions of your credit card statement. To confirm this, please check if eBills is activated in the Bill Pay section. If it is not, kindly select the option to Request eBills and follow the provided instructions.

Please note that before requesting eBills, you may need to add your credit card as a payee to your account. This can be done by selecting the Payment Center option within the Bill Pay section, and then choosing to Add a Company or Person. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete this process.

If you are using the mobile app and have a Bank of America checking account, proceed to the "Set up..." section to continue. However, please be aware that the addition of external accounts can only be done online.

For customers paying from an account with a different bank, please follow these steps:

1. Log in and access the Bill Pay feature.

2. Under the Manage section, select Add/Edit Accounts from Other Banks. Confirm that the desired account is active. If it is not, proceed to the next step to add the account.

3. Choose Add Account and enter the necessary information as requested.

To set up your automatic payment with eBills, follow these steps:

1. Log in, navigate to the Bill Pay section, and locate the credit card account for which you wish to enable automatic payments.

2. Select Add AutoPay in the AutoPay section, and then choose Based on eBill's amount and due date.

3. Specify your Pay From account, the desired Amount, and the Delivery by date for the payment. Finally, select Save.

4. You will receive a confirmation message. (Please refer to the special note below if you are already enrolled in eBills.)

If you are using a computer, the process is slightly different. If you are paying from your Bank of America checking account, proceed to the "Set up..." section. For customers paying from an account with another bank, follow these steps:

1. Log in to Online Banking by clicking on the provided link, and then hover over the Bill Pay tab. Select Manage accounts from the dropdown menu.

2. Go to the Other Pay From Accounts tab. Ensure that the desired account is active. If it is not, proceed to add the account.

3. Choose Add a Pay From account you own at another institution and provide the necessary information about your account with the other institution.

To set up your automatic payment with eBills on your computer:

1. Log in, go to the Bill Pay tab, and locate the credit card account you want to enable automatic payments for.

2. Click on the AutoPay link next to the company and bill, and then select Set Up AutoPay and Set Up Based on the eBill.

3. Specify your Pay From account, the desired Amount, and the Delivery by date for the payment. Finally, select Start Sending Payments.

4. You will receive a confirmation message. (Please refer to the special note below if you are already enrolled in eBills.)

Special note: If you are already receiving eBills and have set up automatic payments based on statements, you will need to manually pay your current eBill. Automatic payments will commence with your next eBill.
